CathoNet's Deacon Koniers to speak at The UD Ministry Conference
October 28-29, 2011 - The fifth annual Ministry Conference will be held October 28-29, 2011 at the Dallas Convention Center. Sponsored, once again by the Dioceses of Dallas and the Diocese of Fort Worth, the 2011 conference stands to bring in over 6,000 Catholic faithful from the two dioceses and the surrounding area. The conference will feature His Eminence Francis Cardinal George, OMI, Archbishop of Chicago and past president of the USCCB, as the Friday morning keynote speaker. The event will also feature session tracks specifically designed for teachers, Catechists, and general Catholic audiences, including talks on faith, parenting, and social justice. Sessions will be offered in English, Spanish, and Vietnamese, and the conference will also host over 100 exhibitors, a liturgical art display, and musical performances by well-known and up-and-coming Catholic artists.

October 11, 2011 - A Nebraska-based company providing financial services and tuition management for 5,500 schools and more than 1 million families across the United States has formed a partnership with a New Hampshire company that is a pioneer of cloud-based accounting systems for the Catholic Church. FACTS Management Co. in Lincoln, Neb., and CathoNet in Hudson, N.H., announced they will integrate their software and computer data centers to offer Catholic parishes, schools and dioceses improved tracking, recording and coordination of information. Clergy and laity will have "21st-century technology tools" for financial stewardship and accountability, according to Deacon William A. Koniers, president of CathoNet.
